Thickness measurement system

The fast and wear-free thickness measurement in the range of a few micrometres to over one metre can be carried out by the OPTIMESS TMS both on one side and on both sides.

As with single-track thickness measurement, a sensor is positioned above the material and measured against a reference or the thickness is recorded with two sensors above and below the material. If a measurement over the entire width of the material is desired, a traversing thickness measurement is also possible. Here the sensors are each mounted on a linear track.
With the Optimess 2D profile sensors, it is also possible to carry out a 3D thickness measurement. No matter for which applications, with the Optimess systems, customised thickness measurement systems can be realised as non-contact systems for almost all materials and temperatures.

OPTIMESS TMS

For single-track thickness measurement, an OPTIMESS MSR sensor is positioned above the material and measured against a reference or the thickness is measured with two OPTIMESS laser sensors above and below the material. If a measurement over the entire width of the material is desired, a traversing thickness measurement is also possible in which the sensors are moved on linear tracks.

3D thickness measurement

With the OPTIMESS 2D profile sensors it is also possible to perform a 3D thickness measurement. No matter for which applications, with the OPTIMESS systems, customised thickness measurement systems can be realised as non-contact systems for almost all materials and temperatures.
